How do I apply essential oils to my dog?
Since dogs are highly sensitive to essential oils it’s best to gradually introduce oils by patch testing them on a small area before using them fully. For puppies, avoid topical oils and for medium or large breed puppies, wait until they’re over 8 weeks old. And the general rule for toy or small-breed puppies is, wait until they’re over 10 weeks old. Once you use essential oils, play close attention to little Lulu’s behaviour. If unsure, ask your local veterinarian for advice.
Should I ask a vet?
It’s helpful to ask a vet, discussing your pet’s personal condition. Getting their tips will ensure you’re confident when using essential oils. If your furry friend has underlying issues, it’s good to get more information.
