Ready to show off a little skin this summer? All this warm weather has us trading in our jeans for cool shorts, our sweaters for tees, and boots for sandals. Your skin will glow this season with our simple tips for keeping it looking luminous and healthy!
That’s where exfoliation comes in. Using a gentle exfoliator one to three times a week removes dead skin, helping your inner beauty shine through. Pay attention to how your skin reacts, though, since over-exfoliation can irritate the skin and cause reddening—you know your skin best!
We love our new Lavender-Oatmeal Bar Soap for gently exfoliating your body with oat bran, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
If you prefer using a body gel, try using an exfoliating glove or a gentle salt scrub as part of your shower routine.
Moisturize immediately after bathing by patting your skin dry with a towel, locking in moisture. Give the sensitive skin on your face added hydration with our ART® Light Moisturizer or brighten and even the appearance of skin tone with Sheerlumé™. If you already use a facial moisturizer you love but love the benefits of essential oils, try mixing a small amount of Frankincense or Cedarwood to your daily application of liquid foundation to help your skin look dewy all day long.
Increase the moisture in the air of your workspace with a humidifying diffuser like our Dewdrop™, Home, or Bamboo diffusers.
Your grandmother’s beauty sleep is one of the best ways to rejuvenate your body and skin every single day. The Mayo Clinic has a great resource to see how much sleep you need each night, depending on your age and other factors.
Like the rest of your body, your skin dries out when you aren’t drinking enough water. Ensure you stay hydrated by keeping a reusable, spill-proof water bottle on hand at your desk, running errands, or even around the house. Flavor your water by infusing it with Vitality essential oils and fruit. You’ll love the burst of flavor, and your body will love the hydration!
Give your body the nutrients it needs! Research suggests that eating a diet full of antioxidant-rich foods like carrots, apricots, leafy greens, tomatoes, blueberries, legumes, fatty fish, and nuts can help improve your overall health and with it, your skin’s appearance.
This summer, be confident in your own beautiful skin! These easy tips are just a few ways to start, if you haven’t already.

Love this, thank you so much! Looking forward to trying the Lavender Oatmeal bar! I love the invigorating scent of the Satin Facial Scrub! :) Currently, I'm loving the Grapefruit Vitality in my water. I also love to add a drop of Lavender to my moisturizer. I'm using the Sandalwood Moisture Cream because I feel like I need a bit more in the warmer, Summer months.
Relax. Destress. Take a calming bath or do what you enjoy. Stress runs havoc on my skin.
Protect your skin while in the sun!!
Wonderful beauty tips. I do add Frankincense to my moisturizer cream. But I have not tried the YL line of skin care.
Love the idea of frankincense or cedarwood mixed with your foundation!
I just started using the ART moisturizer and I love it! My skin feels so smoothe and my daughter tells me how good I smell when she kisses my face.
I use Sandalwood Moisturizing Cream every morning and Progessence Plus every night.
I am new to YL and I am impressed with the products.
I can't wait to try the new Lavender Oatmeal Soap, but I LOVE to cleanse my face with the Dead Sea Mud Soap!
Thanks for the tips.
