Be kind to your hard-working skin! This homemade body butter recipe will leave your skin moisturized and soft, thanks to rich cocoa butter and coconut oil. We love its whipped consistency that goes on smoothly and feels light to the touch.
Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients
1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
15 drops of your favorite topical/aromatic essential oil (we love Cedarwood, Lavender, and Frankincense essential oils)
Directions
Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
Stir in essential oils.
Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
Gently transfer to a seal-able jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.
Massage into dry skin!

Lavender & Frankincense.
Thank you for sharing this recipe! I love making body butters. My favorite oils to add for my very dry skin are Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Helichrysum, and Cedarwood.
Frankincense, Lavender and maybe a drop of peppermint .
Being new to oils, I've been looking forward to make body butter for Christmas gifts. I would add frankincense to my homemade batch of body butter, love the smell.
With cacao butter I recommend a smell that works well with a chocolatey smell. Peppermint is an excellent choice or orange essential oil, otherwise I recommend using shea butter to use as it has a very subtle smell than works very well with any essential oil
I would use sensation, cypress and orange
I'm going to use Geranium! Love the way it smells!
I think I'd try some Stress Away for the great smell and feel of the stress melting away along with the skin feeling soft.
I would use Joy and Orange. I love the smell, and they make me feel happy.
