Be kind to your hard-working skin! This homemade body butter recipe will leave your skin moisturized and soft, thanks to rich cocoa butter and coconut oil. We love its whipped consistency that goes on smoothly and feels light to the touch.
Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic coconut oil
- 1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
- 15 drops of your favorite topical/aromatic essential oil (we love Cedarwood, Lavender, and Frankincense essential oils)
Directions
- Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
- Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
- Stir in essential oils.
- Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
- Gently transfer to a seal-able jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.
- Massage into dry skin!
Frankincense and Clary Sage are lovely together.
Will definitely make soon and use lavender for a relaxing bedtime balm and citrus for a morning wake up.
I absolutely LOVE these homemade essential oil items! And I LOVE Young Living!!!

I will be making this body butter with Jasmine!!! It is my favorite oil next to Valor and Frankincense!! I call it my ‘Man, I feel like a woman!’ oil!!! I am sure to feel good about myself after using this to soften my skin and smell like a bouquet of lilacs! Can’t wait!
Mine will most likely have either Gentle Baby or Manuka.
Lavender is one of my favorites

Definitely will make this and I would use lavender for a bedtime lotion or citrus or peppermint for a morning refresh.
I would do two depending on the time I’m applying it. Morning would be joy, ylang ylang and grapefruit and in the evening lavender and cedarwood! So amazing!
I love orange and frankincense – smells amaxing and feel’s amazing!
I love Stress Away and it would smell amazing in a lotion!
My favorite oils to mix with coconut oil in body products are Stress Away and Lime. If the coconut oil is unrefined, this combo has an amazing coconut lime smell that makes me feel like I’m relaxing on the beach!
Wow! What an incredible giveaway! I would love to try those!
Frankincense would be my first choice, but i might try Manuka, one of the promo oils i have from a few months back.

Sandalwood and Myrrh!!
Young Living Lavender and Orange essential oils
A whipped body butter with Rose, Geranium, Lavender would all be really pretty and feminine! Elegant yet not complicated.
My favorite essential oils to add are Gental Baby and Lavender. I receive compliments all the time on the perfume/lotion I’m wearing. I then tell them it’s Young Living essential oils and they are shocked.

I love Frankincense combined with Lavender and Gentle Baby!
I would add Frank and Geranium!!
