Be kind to your hard-working skin! This homemade body butter recipe will leave your skin moisturized and soft, thanks to rich cocoa butter and coconut oil. We love its whipped consistency that goes on smoothly and feels light to the touch.
Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients
1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
15 drops of your favorite topical/aromatic essential oil (we love Cedarwood, Lavender, and Frankincense essential oils)
Directions
Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
Stir in essential oils.
Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
Gently transfer to a seal-able jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.
Massage into dry skin!

I love to add frankincense, copaiba, lavender, and sandalwood. So nice to smell and love the skin support! It's sophisticated yet yummy at same time.
I'm brand new to YL, bit this sounds amazing! I'm constantly searching for a lotion/moisturizer that actually works and lasts. I think I'd include frankincense, patchouli (my favorite scent) and something for body/muscle pain or agility.
Can't wait to try!
I would totally use lavender and use before bed.
Patchouli
I would like to try stress away and peppermint as swell as something for the holidays, Christmas spirit.
So hard to choose just one scent...I might have to make more than one batch! I think Jasmine would be my first choice, though.
Hi. I always use frankincense and then add different things per batch. Usually copaiba, geranium and sometimes even stress away.
If like to try it using Neroli. My favorite scent ever! I tell people who are not familiar with the oil that I am sure it is what Heaven will smell like. :)
I have never made a body butter!!! Never even thought about making one until now!!! 😍😍😍
