Be kind to your hard-working skin! This homemade body butter recipe will leave your skin moisturized and soft, thanks to rich cocoa butter and coconut oil. We love its whipped consistency that goes on smoothly and feels light to the touch.
Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic coconut oil
- 1 cup organic solid cocoa butter (do not use lotion)
- 15 drops of your favorite topical/aromatic essential oil (we love Cedarwood, Lavender, and Frankincense essential oils)
Directions
- Warm a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, then add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt until completely liquefied, about 4–5 minutes.
- Pour into a glass mixing bowl and place in refrigerator for 30–45 minutes to cool and just set but not harden.
- Stir in essential oils.
- Using an electric hand mixer, whip until firm peaks form, about 10 minutes.
- Gently transfer to a seal-able jar or container. Store at room temperature to avoid melting or solidifying.
- Massage into dry skin!

I think the possibilities are endless. I can’t wait for my kit. I am looking forward to the peppermint and lavender. I know with more knowledge I will have everyone I know buttered up.

I would love to try several. I am new and waiting for my kit. I am thinking about Peppermint a lot and I know Lavender will be wonderful. I am anxious to get in there and try the ones I am not so familiar with. I will have everyone I know oiled up before long. Orange is going to be a must.
I think I would use peppermint or lavender. I think they are both soothing to me. Peppermint just fresh breathing. Lavender for the calming qualities. I think there are several more I will try once I get in there and learn about my oils.
Lavender and frankincense makes my skin feel great

I love using Frankincense & lavender in cold pressed coconut oil for my body butter. I ‘ve made this several times often giving small glass jars of the body butter as gifts. It’s a real conversation starter to those who haven’t started utilizing Young Living Oils!!!
Making some now! Lavender + Frankincense for me, and Idaho Blue Spruce + Cedarwood for my husband! 😊
I use Lavender, Frankincense, & Lemongrass. I love the aroma of Lemongrass.
I would do a blend of lavender and Lemon for a fresh relaxing sent.
