Personally, I have been diving deep into the specific ways that Young Living essential oils offer tremendous emotional support during times of difficulty, as well as in moments of supported inner work and healing from past trauma. Stress Away and Frankincense were the two oils that first opened up my mind and heart to the concept of emotional wellness using "non-traditional" approaches. I love when essential oils are used to supplement someone's personal journey toward healing.
Inhaling directly from the bottle and diffusing are powerful ways for me to ground myself. Applying topically and speaking affirmations is an even more effective method for training your brain to create those strong scent memories that can be called upon in moments of need (i.e. when you need to calm racing thoughts by grounding yourself back in reality), or for an overall sense of balance and support for a healthy thought life. Toxic thoughts can have a devastating effect on our physical bodies, not to mention our mental, emotional and spiritual health.
