Some days your skies are clear, blue, and beautiful—and some days your picnic plans are interrupted with an unexpected storm warning. But don’t worry! Ruined plans can be a bummer, but the sun will come out again soon. In the meantime, try one of these essential oil blends that will remind you of getting a great, big hug!
SARA: a hug for comfort
SARA™ is a sweet blend of Geranium, Ylang Ylang, and Rose. Think of SARA as a big sister, ready to wrap you up in a quilt, hand you a cup of cocoa, and comfort you with compassion. Try rubbing a drop of this blend onto your wrists when you feel like you could use a listening ear. Dilute it with a few drops of a carrier oil to keep your skin happy.
Present Time: a hug for gratitude
If you have way too many alarms set on your phone, an ever-growing to-do list, or a pile of dirty dishes that keeps doubling in size, you might want to reach for Present Time™. Diffuse this delicate scent as you take a minute to reconnect with the present and let go of the expectations you have for yourself. Once you feel calmer, consider doing those dishes before the leftovers grow legs!
Release: a hug for liberation
Ready to let go of some of the “nope” from your day? Throw on some jams, roll out your yoga mat, and diffuse Release™. After stretching out and focusing on your breathing, you might just feel like saying, “Heck yes!” instead.
Grounding: a hug from Mother Nature
Sometimes all we need is a little nature. Even if you can’t get outside, you can connect with your roots by taking a tech detox for a few hours while diffusing Grounding™. This blend of White Fir, Black Spruce, and Pine combines into a forest-inspired aroma. Close your eyes and breathe in the scent of the great outdoors as you enjoy some quiet time.
Hope: a hug for optimism
Looking for some sunshine? Try a little Hope™. While it can’t really change the weather, it might just be the bright spot on a dark day. This gentle blend can be added to a favorite lotion, diffused, or applied topically.
Peace & Calming: a hug for calm
Couldn’t we all use a little more Peace & Calming® in our lives? This gentle blend is one of our most popular essential oil blends, and for good reason! Whether you need a bear hug or are trying to settle in for a night’s hibernation, diffusing this scent adds a special something to the end of a long day.
Gathering: a hug for connection
It can be hard to gather your thoughts after a long day. Or gather your family for dinner. Or gather strength to keep up on your goals. Sound familiar? Try diffusing Gathering™ as you turn daily chaos into calmness by journaling, meditating, or writing an award-worthy to-do list.

I ❤ Peace & Calming. I REALLY want to try Release & Sacred Mountain after reading the descriptions!
There are several very useful Young Living essential oils I utilize for peace and comfort. If momma (I) am having a particularly rough day and I feel myself regretting my reactions to my little one being a little one, I will throw in Inner Child and Bergamot into my diffuser. This gives me the “Woooooo saaaaah” feeling I need so I can get back to happily/peacefully interacting on my daughter’s level of play.
For when my little one is bouncing off the walls, I’ll roll some Vetiver and Lavender on the back of her neck and behind her ears. Within about 20-25 minutes, it’s like she’s been replaced with her cool, calm and collected personality.
Stress away has also become a staple in my diffuser bracelet and my daughter loves asking to “smell it again,” too.
I’m continually amazed by all the different blends I’ve utilized to help naturally support mine and my familys’ bodies! <3
I really needed to read this today. I’ve been dealing with some family drama, so I wish I had some Release (and maybe Forgiveness) to give me some traction towards moving out of those issues I’ve been struggling through. Been feeling lonely lately too, and Stress Away has been a good friend. This morning, I literally got a wake-up kick in the head when my co-sleeping toddler inadvertently heeled my right eye (both my eyes have had cataract surgery in the last 2-3 years), so it was a PanAway day for me (YL needs to make a shower wash with PanAway! Haha!). Lately, though, we’ve been diffusing Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Frankincense, Gentle Baby and Copaiba to help with our teething, heel-raising love bug. It’s been lulling my hubby and son to sleep while I stay up during the quiet hours to learn more about how I can use these amazing, God-given oils to help myself, and those I love, through times like these. My iTovi scan said I need Sacred Mountain, so perhaps i need to find respite with this blend? ❤️
My favorite relaxation oil is White Angelica. I put in my temples, shoulders and on the base of head.
I love Joy. I wear it like perfume. It helps me find my happy :)
I love Release and Lavender in my diffuser! It’s one of my go-to combos at work when things are getting stressful
Joy, Sara, Valor and rose have been my companions as of late. I’m grateful for these oily “friends” that help me through each day.
Peace and Calming, Valor, Valor 2, StressAway, and Progessence Plus are my calming oils! Lemon and orange are so relaxing, too!
Just getting started with YL and looking forward to all the amazing things I can learn. This is a great opportunity and I would love this to get started.
I’m obsessed with NLBS. We diffuse it every night. Its so calming and grounding. We LOVE it.
Yes, please!
I’m bookmarking this one! Emotional support is one of the big reasons I was interested in essential oils in the first place.
I’m new to YL and so far love Joy! I also love anything Citrus because they perk me up. All of these oils sound amazing and I would love to try them!
I love Lavender and Valor. Also Stress Away with Orange. I’d love to try Highest Potential and Sacred Mountain.
I’ve been using YL oils for the past 2 1/2 years. I can’t imagine not having them in my every day life!! As a mama to a busy two year old, I could definitely use some of these “hugs” 😊
Lately, I’ve been reaching for Joy when I’m feeling down. One of my favorites in the diffuser at night is northern lights black spruce, bergamot, and dreamcatcher. I wake up feeling calm, refreshed, and grounded.
Diffusing Stress Away as I type! Favorite scent next to lavender and cedarwood. Needing a hug in a bottle right now. Sickness has reared its ugly head in our home the past two weeks. This mama is wore out! 😊
Still pretty new to YL and haven’t tried these yet, but everyone can use a hug right? Love my YL oils and building my collection!
I loveee stress away, it never leaves my side! But I’ve been really wanting to try valor!!!
I love Purification with lemon & Peace and calming.
I will usually make a blend of geranium, clary-sage, lemon & bergamot. I like to diffuse that in my family room to help the whole family relax after a hard day at work or school. We all love it 😀
Love valor!!!!
Sacred Mountain affected me in a positive way from the gecko. It brings me back to being ok with myself…calm, centered. I use is regularly!!
I use to be an all day peppermint girl or maybe some thieves but lately my go to is Purification. Just can’t get enough of it! For relaxation I always go to my bottle of tranquil and mix it with some valor.
Sacred Mountain diffused for about 15 minutes, then add Gathering. Take a deep breath! Ahhhh!
Everyone needs a hug in a bottle sometimes! I keep on on hand just to give away!
I’m happy i discovered Ylang Ylang. It is a perfect smell. You can’t help but feel good and appreciate life when you inhale. I put on my wrist every morning to start my day.
For relaxation and de-stressing I love Stress Away and Peace & Calming!
Gathering is my “must have” when in crowded public spaces!
My favorites relaxation are Peace & Calming and Stress Away!
Currently I love stress away, lavender and cedarwood. I got my starter kit in april and have been dying to try The Feelings oils and valor!
I LOVE Valor and would like to try Release!
I’m new to YL but so far I love Stress Away and Sacred Mountain. My family was skeptical at first but now my daughters are making lists of oils they want me to buy and my youngest asks to have the diffuser in her room every night, guess we need another one!
Haven’t tried any of these yet,but would love to!
Having served 20+ years in the military and at times seeing the worst of humanity, every one of these oils has helped me EXACTLY as they have been described. Not only have they helped me, they’ve helped my family and my buddies I served with as well.
In addition to these oils, I also enjoy using White Angelica to help me connect spiritually to my creator and Grounding to help me stay balanced in my life. I love these oils and I am very grateful for the positive impact they have had on my life. Young Living is awesome!
Valor is amazing! Would love to try the others.
I of course love valor!!! I use it a lot at work when I’m feeling stressed out and need that moment to reset my thoughts. I also love Gratitude! My favorite thing to put on the back of my neck when I’m studying. The frankincense in the blend really allows me to connect with what I’m doing. I’m in love with Young Living!
I absolutely love how Young Living essential oils support every system in our body, including the limbic system that houses our emotions! So grateful. ❤️
We have a busy schedule with three little ones. I am so glad to have YLEO to help me with uplifting spirts. Abundance; valor, stress away, grounding, peace & calming are just a few my family uses daily! We could really use some HUGS!!!
I’m still new to Young Living, but so far my favorite oils to turn to for encouragement are Peace and Calming, Frankincense, and Stress Away ❤️
I love joy, peace and calming II and stress away
Would love to win those oils. I really like valor!
I’m new to YL & I am in love 😍 with these oils.

Yay I have wanted to try these. I LOVE Young Living! I love Stressaway and lavender for peace and calming
I love valor .
I like the idea of saying affirmations while inhaling valor! I will definitely be needing Hope as a spiritual pick me up while I finish college. My favorite oils for peace and comfort are frankincense and the YL tranquil roller. I’m glad an emotions class lead me to this post. Super interested in these oils!
Love these oils. Valor is my all time favorite an when I use Release, pent up emotions seem to flow outward. Gathering is a favorite when family is coming.
I love peace and calming, valor, and Ylang Ylang.
Stress away mixed with tangerine or peace and calming are my go to oils when I need to feel comfortable and relaxed
My favorite oil for peace and comfort as well as spiritual pick-me-up is…hands down…Frankencense!
