Some days your skies are clear, blue, and beautiful—and some days your picnic plans are interrupted with an unexpected storm warning. But don’t worry! Ruined plans can be a bummer, but the sun will come out again soon. In the meantime, try one of these essential oil blends that will remind you of getting a great, big hug!
SARA: a hug for comfort
SARA™ is a sweet blend of Geranium, Ylang Ylang, and Rose. Think of SARA as a big sister, ready to wrap you up in a quilt, hand you a cup of cocoa, and comfort you with compassion. Try rubbing a drop of this blend onto your wrists when you feel like you could use a listening ear. Dilute it with a few drops of a carrier oil to keep your skin happy.
Present Time: a hug for gratitude
If you have way too many alarms set on your phone, an ever-growing to-do list, or a pile of dirty dishes that keeps doubling in size, you might want to reach for Present Time™. Diffuse this delicate scent as you take a minute to reconnect with the present and let go of the expectations you have for yourself. Once you feel calmer, consider doing those dishes before the leftovers grow legs!
Release: a hug for liberation
Ready to let go of some of the “nope” from your day? Throw on some jams, roll out your yoga mat, and diffuse Release™. After stretching out and focusing on your breathing, you might just feel like saying, “Heck yes!” instead.
Grounding: a hug from Mother Nature
Sometimes all we need is a little nature. Even if you can’t get outside, you can connect with your roots by taking a tech detox for a few hours while diffusing Grounding™. This blend of White Fir, Black Spruce, and Pine combines into a forest-inspired aroma. Close your eyes and breathe in the scent of the great outdoors as you enjoy some quiet time.
Hope: a hug for optimism
Looking for some sunshine? Try a little Hope™. While it can’t really change the weather, it might just be the bright spot on a dark day. This gentle blend can be added to a favorite lotion, diffused, or applied topically.
Peace & Calming: a hug for calm
Couldn’t we all use a little more Peace & Calming® in our lives? This gentle blend is one of our most popular essential oil blends, and for good reason! Whether you need a bear hug or are trying to settle in for a night’s hibernation, diffusing this scent adds a special something to the end of a long day.
Gathering: a hug for connection
It can be hard to gather your thoughts after a long day. Or gather your family for dinner. Or gather strength to keep up on your goals. Sound familiar? Try diffusing Gathering™ as you turn daily chaos into calmness by journaling, meditating, or writing an award-worthy to-do list.

Cypress helps me deal with emotional stuff, but I also love Valor and Acceptance!
Thank you young living for another awesome giveaway. Sacred Mountain has been a saving grace for me since I started oiling last year. It really helps to relax me and have peace when I feel overwhelmed. A great combo I like to diffuse is valor, oola grow and grapefruit. I don’t know how to describe the feeling it gives me other than strength and focus. I diffuse while reading or thinking about life and I immediately feel focused, driven, relaxed and ready to take on the world.
Since I’m new to YL I haven’t tried any of these 3. Valor is on my wish list, however, all of these sound wonderful ❤️
Would love to win these!! 💙
Valor is my absolute most used oil!!
Valor and Release, 2 of my top 5 oils!!
Have only used Valor. Would love to try the others.
I have used these oils for clients, students and myself. They have helped ptsd issues for myself and clients. They speak to the heart, mind and soul.
I love trying new oils . I use stress away daily at work and lavender in evening to help relax after a long day at work. I absolutely love these oils! !!
Lately, Magnify Your Purpose and Oola Balance have been my go-to oils in the moments when some Peace and Calming are required. And, of course, Peace and Calming itself, also, is one of my favorites. :)
One of my favorite oils when I need some relaxation is Northern Lights Black Spruce – I rub it on my shoulders at the end of the day to take some of the stress and tightness out of them.
We use Valor every day! It’s a necessity for my husband!
I love how these oils keep me emotionally centered and strong and keep my stress levels LOW!
I haven’t tried any of these oils yet, but would love to! I have been saving up points for valor, but winning it would be even better! I use Stress Away regularly when I know I might need a little peace : )
I need these! ❤
Cannot wait to try my valor and sacred mountain!
Lavender and cedarwood are my go to oils to unwind from stressful work shifts!
I would love to try these oils! I’ve heard a lot about some of them. My main emotional oil right now is Stress Away!
I must say my life has not been the same since I have started using oils. I really believe I have benefited most the the emotional support of the oils, I have a roller bottle I made that consists of 5 oils one of which is Valor, I use this when we go riding our motorcycle as I suffer from severe distress and panic to the point I only rode twice last year. This year on our first ride I used my roller and took it with me, wow, miracle in a bottle, I actually conquered a road that would have other wise put me in a severe panic. We have gone riding twice since then with my roller with the same result. I have been truly blessed.
For peace and calming, I like to use stress away, humility, and surrender.
My favorite oils for peace and calming are stress away, surrender, and humility.
Peace and calming at night seems to relax my mind enough to wind down after running around with my kids all day! Really want to try some of the suggested blends during the day.
Just love Valor ! I was experiencing some challenging times at work recently & I know it was Valor that got me through it all. The oil I am currently experimenting with is Australian Blue and it is amazing !
I use Release daily and love it! I have not tried many of the other emotional oils but would thankful to win any of them!
Stress Away and Peace and Calming have been my hugs so far. I’m looking forward to trying Valor because so many of my friends love it. So many awesome oils to try!!
Some of my favorite oils for peace and comfort are: Lavender, Northern Lights Black Spruce, and Bergamont, because it makes me happy!!
I normally use stress away- enjoy experimenting with other oils mixed with it but love stress away on its own!
Valor is definitely an oil I take with me everywhere. But I use Joy on a daily basis. Could not go without it. I love Young Living.
I’ve heard that Valor is amazing! I’d love to try the oils list above. Currently Stress Away is my ‘best friend’. : )
Valor and Lavender are my go to oils for relaxation. I’d love to win since I’m always looking for different oils to add to my toolbox.
I tend to gravitate toward peace and calming or stress away when things are rough. Another all time favorite is forgiveness for those times that I allow my anger and frustrations get the better of me.
Excited to learn more about these oils!
Valor!! I would love to try the rest!
Oh how I LOVE my oils! This is an amazing bundle! Young living takes care of its people and I love that!! My current diffuser blend tonight is frank, vetiver, lavender and cedar wood! :)

Stress Away and Peace and Calming (both) are my go to hugs in a bottle. Just the thuoght of inhaling the soothing scents of Peace and Calming make me calmer! I would love to try any of these oils!
Valor is the best. I order some each month since we go through the bottle in now time!
I am brand new to using essential oils but I am excited to see what works for me!
Acceptance is my go to. Also love joy with grapefruit. Peace and calming is for my alone time with a good book.
Love getting these kinds of “hugs”. :)
What an amazing and precious gift!
We use Present Time a lot in our home, & Im a huge fan of Sacred Mountain for grounding when I need it most. I have yet to try Gathering, but have it on my August ER!
Valor and Sacred Mountain are two favorites. I find them to support courage and focus when I diffuse them or apply topically. The others listed here I have not tried yet, but they are on my wish list for sure!
It would be more than awesome to get my name drawn. I would be so grateful for any of these! I would even share with our family members!! ;)
I’m fairly new to essential oils – this blog is awesome! I’d love to win a ‘hug’ and try out some of these blends!
I love valor
Thank you for this list….just what I needed!
I truly need a hug in a bottle! I have a teenager, a toddler, and an infant and my days are filled with my best efforts to keep chaos at bay! My little ones give me hugs, but my teenage daughter (16 going on 36) displays a hardened exterior, never revealing her inner emotions. She is a walking bundle of cynicism wrapped in a pessimistic, jaded exterior. All I want in life is for her to find her happiness. I’m slowly learning about essential oils and I’m eager to try them! I’ve had a little success with lavender and bergamot…and by that I mean she doesn’t hate them outright. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts!
My go to oils for some peace and comfort are Roman Chamomile, Valor and Grounding. I can’t get enough!
