Some days your skies are clear, blue, and beautiful—and some days your picnic plans are interrupted with an unexpected storm warning. But don’t worry! Ruined plans can be a bummer, but the sun will come out again soon. In the meantime, try one of these essential oil blends that will remind you of getting a great, big hug!
SARA: a hug for comfort
SARA™ is a sweet blend of Geranium, Ylang Ylang, and Rose. Think of SARA as a big sister, ready to wrap you up in a quilt, hand you a cup of cocoa, and comfort you with compassion. Try rubbing a drop of this blend onto your wrists when you feel like you could use a listening ear. Dilute it with a few drops of a carrier oil to keep your skin happy.
Present Time: a hug for gratitude
If you have way too many alarms set on your phone, an ever-growing to-do list, or a pile of dirty dishes that keeps doubling in size, you might want to reach for Present Time™. Diffuse this delicate scent as you take a minute to reconnect with the present and let go of the expectations you have for yourself. Once you feel calmer, consider doing those dishes before the leftovers grow legs!
Release: a hug for liberation
Ready to let go of some of the “nope” from your day? Throw on some jams, roll out your yoga mat, and diffuse Release™. After stretching out and focusing on your breathing, you might just feel like saying, “Heck yes!” instead.
Grounding: a hug from Mother Nature
Sometimes all we need is a little nature. Even if you can’t get outside, you can connect with your roots by taking a tech detox for a few hours while diffusing Grounding™. This blend of White Fir, Black Spruce, and Pine combines into a forest-inspired aroma. Close your eyes and breathe in the scent of the great outdoors as you enjoy some quiet time.
Hope: a hug for optimism
Looking for some sunshine? Try a little Hope™. While it can’t really change the weather, it might just be the bright spot on a dark day. This gentle blend can be added to a favorite lotion, diffused, or applied topically.
Peace & Calming: a hug for calm
Couldn’t we all use a little more Peace & Calming® in our lives? This gentle blend is one of our most popular essential oil blends, and for good reason! Whether you need a bear hug or are trying to settle in for a night’s hibernation, diffusing this scent adds a special something to the end of a long day.
Gathering: a hug for connection
It can be hard to gather your thoughts after a long day. Or gather your family for dinner. Or gather strength to keep up on your goals. Sound familiar? Try diffusing Gathering™ as you turn daily chaos into calmness by journaling, meditating, or writing an award-worthy to-do list.

I would love to try these oils, I bought lavender a few others a few months ago before I heard of young living. I would love to try these young living is giving away, bc I’m all into diy for hair, skin, lips and several others and if I like them would definitely order regularly.

I apply Release over my liver to help let go of the little things that can sometimes build up and drive me crazy with my kids. I LOVE Sacred Mountain to help ground me in the present moment. And Valor- it is our family go to for nerves, worries, and fears.
Tough to pick a favorite, but Valor is one of my favorites along with Highest Potential, Sacred Angel, White Angelica, Frankincense, Peace and Calming and Joy!!
I just joined young living today and i cant wait to get my kit so i can get started. These hug oils sound wonderful.
I like Sacred Mountain any time of the day or night. It gives me a feeling of relaxation. I also use a drop behind each ear as a perfume and also apply a drop in my diffuser necklace to give me a whiff every now and again.

Love Sacred Mountain…so calming
I would love to win this one. Highest potential is one if the few I don’t have. Valor is one my favorites!
Gathering and Release are awesome, but my very favorite oil for peace and comfort is lavender!

My favorite oils at times of sadness or discouragement are Lavendar, frankensense, peppermint, and theives. If not able to diffuse, I will place on a cotton ball and take it with me.
I have been using young living oil for 4 months now and love them would love to have these oil to try. I lead a very stressful life
I love valor and release. Hope sounds like a new one for me to try!
I’m blown away! This is the first time I have opened the YL Blog … actually any Blog! And am both sad and very excited. Sad I’ve short changed myself of some delicious “stuff” and very excited to discover the quality of information and presentation. I love and use my YL EO’s and believe they are a sacred gift from the planet.! From the bottom of my Soul I believe they are and can be a powerful tool in transforming the planet.
But I have been, for the most part, one of those “closet” users because I feel inadequate expressing what I “know” to be true about the oils and YL mission. Now all I have to do is invite people to visit our beautiful blog. (Celeste Korthase, my beloved and unbelievably patient friend and sponsor is probably rolling her eyes and knocking her head against the wall.)
I love to diffuse Stress Away with Peppermint – it smells heavenly!!
I use Stress Away and Lavender all the time. They help me stay calm and grounded. Valor goes on the top of my spine and my lower back after a yoga class to help with tightness and soreness. I’m not good on self love and confidence, so I’ll use your tip above for Valor! These are my go to oils right now. I’m new to Young Living so I’m trying one at a time. While facing a possible Lupis diagnosis, I’m hoping to try Present Time some day. I like how you compare the oils to “hugs”. I’ll keep that in mind everyday when I use them – it will be a fun visual. I can use all the hugs I can get! (and give too!) : )
I try to eliminate as many chemicals in my cleaning supplies and daily life. I am using Lemon Vitality in my water. Valor on my neck and lower spine have helped me feel grounded. Stress Away and lavender every day before yoga helps to keep me calm and focused. I feel like I have a good start toward a better future. I am looking for the whole me for a quality life – with better nutrition and less fear and discomfort. So far Young Living Oils are helping me find a better way toward an uplifted spirit and a hopeful future. And hugs really do help! LOL
I still love Lavender best- it calms my head hassles, perks me up when tired but also puts me to sleep. ( My dog babies too!) Peppermint brightens any day and IBS is gone. I love every oil I have! Mixing different oils in the diffuser is so fun.
Stress away is my most used “go to”. Some days I just want to bathe in it! I’ll also use Valor, and recently I’ve tried Joy… a drop on my heart does the trick for the “off” days. I have not tried the 5 hugs yet. But am anxious to try and pass on to my team.
I love Valor!! It leaves me feeling victorious!!!! All the oils listed are absolutely incredible. I have become addicted!!! It is good, so good!!!☺
I have been using Sacred Mountain in my diffuser necklace and diffusing it during the day as needed to relax and regroup. I use Valor for those times I feel I need some courage. Love these oils!

I love Valor, calms and relaxes me. and I just love the smell!
Wow! So many oils, so little time! I just tried Valor and love it, esp. like the blue color. I used it for “Stop the Snore”, and it’s working. Will try it with Lavender next:) Can’t wait to try Present Time and Gathering and Sacred Mountain!!!
I grew up with lavender plants around my grandma’s home, and a lemon tree near her back door – now those oils are extremely calming and comforting for me. Stress Away, Peace and Calming, Joy, Christmas Spirit and Clove are also peaceful oils for me!
All these oils sound so wonderful. I am new on my journey with essential oils but already love everything I’ve tried. Thank you for the knowledge of each of these oils.

Stress Away is my go to in times of high stress, but would love to try these! Especially the Release, I need to let some things go that affect me daily
I love StressAway! Out of my starter kit, my other favorites are, lemon, lavender, and copaiba :)
I would love you try Release. I need to let go of past 6 years. Lots of stress. I love peace & calming, lavendar and frankencense and cedarwood. Just joined YL and am still trying to discover what works.
Stress away will always be my favorite! Lavender is just as up there! Both gives me the ability to just relax and know that things are going to be ok:)

I always have oils on and with me. We all need those hugs somedays.
After I had my baby I got really bad depression and anxiety that my doctor had to put me on medication until my childhood friend MarzMarz introduced me to Young Living! In my starter kit I got stressaway oil and my life was changed for better. I use stressaway oil every day and didn’t need my medication for 3 months now. Now I’m totally addicted to EO and young living!
I’d 💓a hug in a bottle!
I love the deep relief roller. When I have a headache after a long day, it reliefs literally! 💚
