Young Living Australia’s 20th anniversary celebration kicked off to an exciting start at the scenic Sea World Resort on 22nd February with popular member-run workshops and classes.
Yoga classes, Spa with Raindrop and traditional massages plus a fantastic Men’s BBQ were all wonderful opportunities to share and connect with others. The Sole Hope workshops run by YL corporate staff from the D. Gary Young Foundation were inspiring for all who shared in this worthy cause to help Ugandan children in need.
The VIP welcome reception among the fascinating world of sea creatures at Shark Bay was the perfect setting for Australia & New Zealand Leaders, YL Corporate VIPs and the Management team to mingle and salute to 20 years of Young Living Essential Oils in Australia. General Manager of YL Australia & New Zealand Kristen Tod delighted special guests with a special toast to our 20th anniversary. Our new Seedlings Brand Ambassador and former Miss Australia Laura Csortan was introduced and her excitement in representing our pure and natural baby range was evident.
Day two of the ‘It’s time to shine’ themed celebration set off to an exciting start with Mia Fanning, our very own YL’s Got Talent winner singing the Australian & New Zealand national anthems. General Manager Kristen welcomed the 900+ guests present to a recount of our incredible 20 year history. It all began when our beloved founder Gary Youngasked his good friend Cliff Winkleman, to head up the office in Brisbane. The rest as they say is history! We are now 40K members strong and growing. The welcome included a heartfelt welcome video message from our CEO Mary Young.
Our dynamic Regional President Asia Pacific, Tai Tolman took the audience through a whirlwind of Young Living strides and achievements. Attendees were in for an emotional roller-coaster with the award-winning and inspirational speaker Sam Cawthorne who turned crisis into an opportunity and showed everyone any setback shouldn’t stop you from achieving what you want.
Young Living’s Chief Science Officer Dr. Mike Buch shared his extraordinary knowledge about the quality of our essential oils, and what sets us apart from everyone else in the industry - our Seed to Seal process.
Sought after speaker and Young Living Canadian Crown Diamond Leader Jilene Hay spoke passionately about creating a low-tox lifestyle, resonating deeply with the audience and our collective goal of seeking a healthier lifestyle.
The unveiling of 20 new product launches to mark 20 grand years was an absolute treat to all in attendance and the Product expo was a hive of activity with every product on display for guests to experience! Among these was the launch of Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil, a refreshing eucalyptus oil from our very own Australian farms.
Electrifying performances by YL’s Got Talent winners, an opportunity to meet some of our Australian partner farm owners, YL merchandise and much more made for an exciting second day at the event.
Aspiring and seasoned leaders alike were mentored by professional trainer and coach Nicki Keohohou, a firm favourite from Hawaii, USA.
There was not a dry eye in the room when Executive Director of the D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation Greg Larsen spoke of the impact that rounding up your orders has in empowering global communities like Yarsa, Nepal, a community that was devastated by earthquake. Hope for Justice’s Ben Cooley added to this powerful presentation, speaking of how our contributions would make such a difference to the fight against people-trafficking and slavery.
Of the many highlights on the day, the recognition of our leaders and celebratory congratulations stole the show. An electrifying ferver filled the air as there was clapping, cheers and confetti cannons going off as leaders took to the stage.
The evening was the icing on the cake for commemorating Young Living New Zealand’s first birthday with all our New Zealand members attending the event.
The 20th anniversary celebration wrapped up with purposeful day filled with meaningful messages, connecting and light-hearted entertainment. Renowned communicator and coach Allan Pease showed the audience the impact of effective communication and how it can transform our business.
A journey through our founder Gary’s vision and passion to bring the highest quality essential oils into every home was a heartfelt dedication to Gary’s incredible lifework by Australia’s founding member and first crown diamond Artemis.
Day three had many high notes, along with a popular performance by YL’s Got Talent winners - Ed Shutran and the Envision vamps certainly got the crowd up on their feet to a catchy beat! Thanks to the many generous donors, Foundation raised over $25,000 for Hope for Justice, such a worthy cause.
