20 Years of Young Living Philanthropy
For 20 years and counting, Young Living’s commitment to improving the world around us has been a guiding concept for everything we do. Through the efforts of Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young and his family, our leadership and employees, as well as the efforts of the D. Gary Young Foundation, we work tirelessly to give back to the global community of which we are a proud part. This month we celebrate two decades of Young Living philanthropy.
The D. Gary Young Foundation’s most recent efforts have benefitted the children of the Young Living Academy, providing children ages 5 through 15 in Chongon, Ecuador, with precious educational opportunities. During last year’s Master Leader Retreat, top Young Living members donated more than $36,000 to the school in a single evening! You may view a video of the retreat below. This year the foundation has already added 45 additional students to the Young Living Academy and will focus on sponsoring these additional students, as well as funding the expansion of the current academy to accommodate the high school grades. The expansion will accommodate more students and nurture their passion for learning. To help fund this effort, the 2014 International Grand Convention will feature the Walk a Mile for a Child fundraiser on Thursday, June 26, from 6–8 a.m. Stay tuned and check back at YoungLiving.com/Convention to register and find more details!
Along with the foundation’s efforts, our U.S. and international markets volunteer in their local communities. Recent projects have included:
