So grateful for my leader Kim Prather for sharing this podcast. As I first listened to Greg Larson my heart burst with excitement and joy. I am a giver and have always been drawn to giving and helping others, for this I can praise God for the gift of the most giving mother. My mom had 9 kids, we were all born in Romanian under the communist regime, my father had to flee as his life was threatened because of his faith. He came to America and it took him 3 years to bring us to the US. During this time my mom had 9 kids under the age of 17 I was 1 1/2. It was a very difficult time as food was scarce and it was a chore just to keep us warm. But through it all my mother was giving thanks to God for the little we did have. Our home was always filled with anyone who needed a roof or a piece of bread. She gave always in faith. After we all were grown and away from home she would collect boxes to put together to send to Romania for the poor. In fact before she passed away she sent us all pictures of her packing boxes and told us that is how she wants to be remembered, as helping those in need. The day she passed away my father cried because he found 2 unaddressed boxes she left behind and he felt bad because he didn’t know who they were to go to. As I was listening to Jared I felt guilty because I want to do more for the orphans in Romania and I have been so upset at my circumstances which held me back from that ministry right now, instead of focusing on all that I can do here and now. Thank you Jared for reminding me to do all I can and be grateful for the here and now. And Mary, your strength your fire your love for Gary’s vision is just the best example. He was truly called by God for such a time as this and you were the best help mate who is so capable to continue his work. May the Lord continue to bless each one of you and with a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy Prosperous 2019!!!!
