Calgary, AB – February 13, 2017 – Young Living Essential Oils, the world leader in essential oils, celebrates the first member-attended winter harvest of Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil at the Northern Lights Farm in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. Despite harsh Canadian temperatures, lucky Young Living members became happy harvesters as they were welcomed by Young Living Crown Diamond leaders Ben and Carol Howden this past week to experience Canada’s exciting, first member-attended harvest of Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil.
Located in the beautiful setting of Fort Nelson, free of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers, black spruce trees are abundant due to the rich soil and ample water resources that surround the destination. From the cultivation, harvest and distillation of the fragrant Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil, members had the opportunity to personally witness and take part in Young Living’s unique Seed to Seal® process during their winter harvest visit.
Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil provides a rich, invigorating scent when diffused and is also a key ingredient in some popular Young Living essential oil blends such as Shutran™. Its grounding, woodsy scent is reflective of the resilience and deeply rooted strength of the trees it is derived from.
Black Spruce essential oil was produced for the first time at the Northern Lights Farm on March 9, 2015, and the farm’s official Grand Opening was celebrated on August 24, 2016 following two years of ambitious research, planning and building efforts. Nestled amid British Columbia’s breathtaking landscape, the farm features a state-of-the-art distillery and a conference and education centre. Its commitment to purity and quality makes it a proud Canadian addition to Young Living’s global farms.
