DIY Joyful Lotion Bar

This bar uses the warmth of your body to melt natural emollients and essential oils into your skin to smooth, moisturise and nourish dry hands, heels, knees, and elbows.

Ingredients

½ cup extra-virgin coconut oil (120 ml) 
½ cup beeswax (120 ml)
¼ cup shea butter (60 ml)
¼ cup cocoa butter (60 ml)
15 drops Joy essential oil blend
Dried rose petals and lemon zest (optional)

Method

In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, cool slightly, and stir in Joy essential oil blend.
Sprinkle dried rose petals and lemon zest into moulds if using.
Pour the mixture into moulds and let it cool and harden completely.
Pop the lotion bars out of the moulds once fully hardened and store in a cool, dry place.
