Stay Connected: A message from Jared Turner, President and COO

Dear Young Living Family,
While so much has changed over the last several weeks, the YL community remains the same as ever: connected, compassionate, and committed to each other and our mission of wellness. Thank you for virtually extending your care and passion from households to cities, from cities to countries, and from countries to the world. Our connection around the globe is what keeps us strong as we continue to lift each other.
Now, as we work together to protect public safety by staying home, we’re getting more creative than ever in leading and lifting through technology. As you know, we’ve moved to a digital platform for the 2020 International Grand Convention, and we are also staying connected through virtual grand openings and with the support of our new Working Live partnership.
Virtual International Grand Convention
With today’s precautions and extended social distancing, community and connection are more important than ever. At this year’s International Grand Convention, we’re bringing together the largest essential oil community to emphasize what it means to be one—a connected, unified force that is changing the world. I personally want to extend an invitation to each of you to attend this powerful and impactful event. Check out all of the event details here.
Brazil grand opening
We’re thrilled to bring Brazil into the YL family on April 25. Because precautions prevent a typical grand opening gathering, we’re taking it online and holding an in-person celebration later this year! The online event is available to watch live in Portuguese and Spanish, and you can join it here.
Working Live partnership
We’re excited about our new partnership with Working Live, a suite of tools that makes it easy to close the distance with your team, despite social distancing. Sign up for video conferencing for up to 500 participants, task management, coaching, and intuitive sharing tools—all at an exclusive, heavily discounted rate. Learn more and sign up here.
And while we’re taking our virtual connections seriously, we’re also still hard at work taking care of our local communities—humans and animals alike.
Each week of this crisis, we are donating hand sanitiser and nutritious, convenient snacks like Slique® Bars to vital frontline workers and first responders like police officers, school districts, fire departments, and hospital staff. I’m grateful and overwhelmed that we have the resources to ramp up production of these important products and make them available to those who need them the most.
Additionally, you may already be familiar with the Tracy Aviary, to which we’ve been donating a portion of all Feather the Owl Diffuser sales. To date, we’ve donated US$125,000, with the most recent $55,000 USD donation earmarked to help the aviary through this crisis while revenue is at a standstill. Because I grew up as one of the more than 60,000 children who visit the Tracy Aviary annually to discover the importance of conservation and sustainability, I have also made a personal matching donation of $17,000. I know Gary would be excited about the work we’re doing to care for wildlife.
These YL donations join others we’ve talked about elsewhere, most recently including:
- A $100,000 donation to the International Rescue Committee to support the organisation’s rapidly growing needs amid the pandemic as they work to help those impacted by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and thrive.
- $233,767 to Meals on Wheels made directly to the organisation’s COVID-19 response fund. This donation was made possible through your passion for Thieves®; the amount was 1 percent of all proceeds from Thieves sales during March. Thank you so much for making this possible!
I continue to be amazed by our community as we flatten the curve. Though we can’t be together in person right now, connection is more important than ever, so please continue to reach out to friends, family, and your team during this challenging time.
Best,
Jared Turner
