Orange

Oranges were first farmed in Southeast Asia, with records of their earliest cultivation dating back as far as 2100 BC. We produce our pure orange oil at Amanzi Amahle Farm, which is headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa.

Young Living has partnered with the Amanzi Amahle Farm since 2018 and other botanicals sourced from this cooperative farm are Tea Tree, Eucalyptus Radiata, Lemon and Grapefruit. The cooperative not only represents a collection of the best growers in the region, but also works with those top growers to help them stay at the forefront, teaching sustainable practices that promote long-term production of high-quality essential oils.

At Amanzi Amahle, both oranges and grapefruits undergo cold pressing to produce pure essential oils. Cold pressing, known as expression, physically squeezes citrus peels to remove their oils. It usually takes approximately 50-100 oranges to make one 15ml bottle of oil. The lead time to produce a 15ml bottle of Orange is approximately 1-3 months.

The sheer versatility of the fruit, packed with goodness, means Orange essential oil can be used in everyday life.
