International Essential Oil Day
Spread the wellness with a worldwide celebration!Every year on July 11, essential oil enthusiasts from the U.S. to Uzbekistan come together to celebrate International Essential Oils Day. Young Living established International Essential Oils Day (IEOD) on the birthday of its founder, the late D. Gary Young, to pay tribute to the pioneer of the modern-day essential oils movement and honor Gary’s passion for philanthropy and his purpose-driven spirit. International Essential Oils Day commemorates Young Living’s position as the global leader of the essential oil industry—a position the company’s held for 25 years. It also raises awareness about sustainability processes like those found in Young Living’s Seed to Seal® quality commitment, highlighting our continual efforts to protect the planet and ensure the highest quality standards for essential oil products. With our annual celebration comes the opportunity to support The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation , a philanthropic organization started by Gary in 2009. |

Last year on the inaugural IEOD, 41,441 Young Living members from 66 countries placed over 45,000 orders and raised more than $235,000 for the
Young Living Academy in Ecuador, which was established by the Foundation. This year Young Living will donate 5 percent of its global sales for the day—up to $250,000—to The D. Gary Young Leadership Endowment. The endowment will provide scholarships for higher education to Young Living Academy students, giving them the opportunity to attend a university and pursue career dreams.

About The D. Gary Young Leadership EndowmentWhen the Young Living Academy opened in 2009, Gary envisioned a school that would provide top-notch education and give each student an opportunity to become a future leader in Ecuador. After celebrating the Academy’s first graduating class in 2016, it became apparent that while many of our graduates were academically equipped for college, their family’s socioeconomic status forced them to give up their studies and work to help their families meet day-to-day needs.
